Implementing OSHA VPP at a Semiconductor Facility

This presentation will help introduce the Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s Voluntary Protection Program (VPP) safety management model to the audience. There will be brief overview of the application process to include the VPP Pre-assessment documentation, VPP Pre-assessment visit, VPP Application and finally the VPP Visit Next, the benefits of VPP will be discussed and the 3 levels of VPP performance (Star, Merit, Demonstration). Then a brief overview of the 4 main elements of the VPP Safety Management Model; Management Leadership and Employee Involvement, Worksite Analysis, Hazard Prevention and Control, Safety and Health Training Finally, I will describe the on site visit by OSHA to include the employee interview process and the VPP specifics (details) to help the audience gauge if they are ready to pursue the OSHA Voluntary Protection Program (VPP).
