The chemical enterprise – primarily major chemical manufacturers and their distribution chain – have refined methods for reducing plant vulberability to security breaches. Methods include multiple layers of physical barriers, screening of employees and contractors, surveillance, and close cooperation with local and national agencies. These methods should be examined and implemented to protect the investment in FABs and the people who work there and live nearby. This presentation will examine some of these issues to provide guidance and a forum for discussion.
