Situational Awareness for Environmental Safety & Health Professionals

Richard Gasaway

Most workers know, intuitively, that strong situational awareness is an important aspect of worksite safety. However, many do not understand what situational awareness is, how it is developed and how it can erode while working in high risk, high consequence environments. This program will provide workers with an understanding of situational awareness unlike anything they’ve ever been taught previously and with thoroughly explain how it is developed. Barriers that can erode awareness will be shared along with best practices for developing and maintaining strong situational awareness.
