Paula O. White
Director, Cooperative and State Program, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA)

Since 1995, Ms. White has served as OSHA’s Director of Cooperative and State Programs. In this position, Ms. White is responsible for the Agency’s voluntary and cooperative programs, including the Voluntary Protection Programs, the OSHA Strategic Partnership Program, the Alliance Program, and OSHA Consultation Program. In addition, Ms. White is in charge of the Agency’s training and education programs, including the Office of Training and Education and the OSHA Training Institute in Des Plaines, Illinois. Ms. White also oversees the Office of State Programs. Other major responsibilities include coordinating compliance assistance and outreach programs, and small business assistance. Ms. White began her career as a management intern with the U.S. Department of Labor. In previous position’s she has served as OSHA’s Budget Officer and the Agency’s Financial Manager. Ms. White graduated cum laude from Wilson College, where she was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. Ms. White has been awarded the rank of Meritorious Executive in the Senior Executive Service.
