Tom is one of Underwriters Laboratories’ Principal Engineers for the high technology industry sector. Tom is a licensed electrical engineer (PE) in the state of California; NARTE Certified Product Safety Engineer; ASQ Certified Quality Engineer; and NFPA Certified Fire Protection Specialist. Tom also represents UL on the following committees: ANSI National Committee for IEC TC108, including U.S. delegate to IEC TC108; and NFPA 75, Technical Committee for Protection of Information Technology Equipment. Tom is a Senior Member of both the Institute of Electrical & Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and the American Society for Quality (ASQ), and also is a member of the International Association of Electrical Inspectors (IAEI) and National Fire Protection Association (NFPA).
