William Belk

Education: B.S. Textile Chemistry, 1973, North Carolina State University, Raleigh, NC MBA, 1975, Babcock School of Management, Wake Forest University, Winston-Salem, N.C. Registrations: California Registered Environmental Assessor Mr. Belk has more than thirty-six years of experience in the environmental consulting and remediation field as a chemist, environmental engineer, project manager and principal in a full service remediation company. He has extensive expertise in structural decontamination and facility decommissioning, hazardous waste source reduction, regulatory compliance, and soil and groundwater remediation using onsite treatment technologies. Before serving as President of DECON Environmental, Mr. Belk was Vice President for Earth Technology responsible for developing and managing their high technology business sector. Mr. Belk has also worked as a Project Director for Montgomery Watson, ABB Environmental, and IT Corporation providing remediation, EH&S consulting and environmental management systems support to industrial and DOD organizations in the USA and in Europe. He has served as Chairman for the Semiconductor Equipment & Materials International S12 Task Force which rewrote the semiconductor equipment decontamination guidelines now published by SEMI as SEMI S12-0309. Mr. Belk has participated as an ISO 14001 Lead Auditor and brings a broad EH&S management and “green” philosophy to remediation and construction services for his clients. Some of Mr. Belk’s recent clients include Intel Corporation, Hitachi Global Storage Technologies, dpiX, LLC, LAM Research, IBM Corporation, Agilent Technologies, Analog Devices, Hewlett-Packard, National Semiconductor, and Applied Materials.
