2000 Fire Codes Affecting Hazardous Gas Monitoring

In the year 2000, the International Fire Code was published as the culmination of an effort to develop a model code acceptable to jurisdictions throughout the United States. However, the Uniform Fire Code and other model codes remain in force in many jurisdictions. This article reviews 2000 Uniform Fire Code and 2000 International Fire Code requirements affecting hazardous gas monitoring.
