GHG Reporting Rule and Challenges

This presentation will review the electronic industry greenhouse gas (GHG) reporting rule (40 CFR Part 98 Subpart I). Specific topics discussed in this presentation include key regulatory definitions, exemptions, threshold determinations, emission calculations and best practices for ensuring compliance with 40 CFR Part 98 Subpart I. This presentation will also discuss the challenges associated with 40 CFR Part 98 Subpart I, including common compliance pitfalls, data collection and reporting emissions through EPA’s Electronic Greenhouse Gas Reporting Tool (e-GGRT).

Jesse Gonzalez Senior Consultant, Trinity Consultants
Mr. Gonzalez has served as an environmental consultant in the Trinity Phoenix, Arizona office since 2014. He has provided air quality and environmental reporting support for a variety of industries including: aerospace, mining, petroleum refining, semiconductor, solar and steelmaking located in Arizona, California, Florida, Nevada, Oregon and Texas.

His experience includes air quality permitting, emission inventories, regulatory applicability determinations, Best Available Control Technology (BACT) determinations and dispersion modeling. He also has extensive experience with Toxic Release Inventory (TRI) reporting, greenhouse gas (GHG) reporting and exhaust management for various semiconductor fabs throughout the United States.
Mr. Gonzalez is a graduate from the University of Arizona where he received his Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in Chemical Engineering.
