Best Practices for adapting your Ergonomics Program for Hybrid and Remote Work

Chris Arteberry

The pandemic forced organizations across the globe to send many of their office workers to work from home with little guidance on how to support employee health and wellbeing in this new work environment. Employees have spent almost two years working from dining room tables and couches wondering and waiting to see if working from home is the “new normal.” Recently, many companies have decided that the “work from home” model or a “hybrid” model is best for their business and their employees moving forward. Now that the decision has been made on where employees will work, it is the time to act on optimizing your ergonomics program and employee’s workspaces to accommodate the new path forward. Proactive ergonomics interventions can make either the return to the office or continued work at home not only safer, but more productive and more energizing for your workforce.

In this presentation, we will focus on how to develop or revise your current ergonomics program to adapt to a hybrid work environment, address unforeseen risk factors, and engage employees.
