Course Concept: A General overview of Hazardous Gas Monitoring systems. Includes a brief description of “what is a gas monitoring system and why is it necessary”. The course will cover an introduction to each of the major sensing technologies and how they operate. The normal performance benchmarks used to evaluate sensing technologies will be discussed. Finally, a brief discussion of system architecture and applications will be followed by a short Q&A period.
