Hazardous Materials Requirements of the International Codes

This half day professional development course will provide an introduction to the International Codes. Information from the International Building, Fire, and Mechanical Codes will be discussed. The course will focus on how the I Codes differ from the Uniform, National, and Standard Codes. Issues of particular interest to the semiconductor industry will be highlighted, including proposed and adopted changes to the 2000 Editions of the I Codes. A review of the I Code development process will be provided. Mr. William Winslow CIH will teach the course. Mr. Winslow is ICBO Certified in the Fire and Mechanical Codes and in tank installation. He is a code consultant to jurisdictions and design professionals. Mr. Winslow provides a 24-hour code seminar and has trained over 500 code enforcement officials in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Montana. Mr. Winslow was Manager of Health and Safety for Fairchild and National Semiconductor for 8 years.
