The presentation will cover the highlights of Intel Avian Flu Preparedness Plan. Intel has a detailed response plan which is based on fundamental principles including a commitment to promote a healthy workplace while treating people with dignity and respect. We will work in partnership with our local governments and public health organizations using a “phased” response strategy based on the World Health Organization’s (WHO), 6 Phases of a Pandemic. Many protocols evolved from our experience with SARS as well as collaboration with our global travel medicine vendor and other experts in the field of communicable disease management and industry. The plan is comprehensive and covers items such as: hygiene practices; infection control measures; medical treatment, communication, travel policies, HR policies, etc. The plan is being modified and adjusted as event unfolds. Details of our plans are fluid and subject to change based on developments.
