LoginThe Semiconductor Emergency Response Forum is comprised of professionals within the semiconductor and related industries, associated with SESHA, having as its main focus the subject of response to emergencies. As suggested by the ‘Forum’ in its name, the SERF mission is to promote the interchange of experiences, ideas, and lessons between members. In furthering that goal, SERF will hold a Roundtable discussion at this year’s SESHA Symposium where the following topics will be presented:
- 2002 Survey Review – Greg Linenfelser will present the results of last year’s survey of emergency response team practices and organization, comparing the results to previous surveys, as a means of taking the pulse of the industry.
- ERT Issues since 9-11: Jeff Williams will discuss issues raised since the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, how this impacts ERT response, and procedures indicated by ‘white-powder calls’ and similar situations.
- Standards of Practice Report – Joe Caller will review progress on development of additional SERF Standards in the specific areas of Response Procedures (protective clothing, decontamination, et al), Training Requirements/Professional Standards for ERT members and leaders, and Interaction with Outside Agencies (Fire Department).
