Brian Sherin, CSP

Deputy Director ES&H Division, SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory

Brian Sherin is the Deputy Director of ES&H at the SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory, a Department of Energy National Science Laboratory, run by Stanford University. In this capacity, Mr. Sherin helps to manage a 110-person ES&H Division and directly oversees fire, medical, emergency management, site security, and incident investigations. Prior to joining SLAC in 2006, Mr. Sherin was the co-founder and a Managing Principal of Environmental & Occupational Risk Management, Inc., and the founder and President of ESHconnect, Inc. He has a Bachelor’s degree from University of California at Davis, a Master’s degree from San Jose State University, is a Certified Safety Professional, and has been on the SESHA Board of Directors since 2003. In his “spare” time, he is also a Santa Cruz County volunteer firefighter and a Safety Officer for the California Task Force-6 Disaster Medical Assistance Team (HHS).
