Katie Schofield, PhD, CSP, ARM

Katie Schofield, PhD, CSP, ARM, is an Assistant Professor and Director of the Master of Environmental Health and Safety program at University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD). Her doctorate is from University of Minnesota School of Public Health. Her professional and research focus is on injury prevention, injury burden inequity, data analytics, and program assessment; she enjoys collaborating with industry groups and in the field. Prior to UMD, Katie enjoyed a career as an workers’ compensation (WC) insurance safety professional, partnering with clients and their employees to address a wide array of hazards and risks and to improve their WC experience and management. Katie is active in professional organizations, teaching, publishing, and regularly speaks at academic and industry conferences.
