Karl Albrecht – SESHA Fellow
Karl Albrecht is the Worldwide Director of Environment, Health, and Safety for Fairchild Semiconductor Corporation. He has been in the semiconductor EHS profession since 1984, having also served as a wafer fab safety and health manager, and corporate safety and IH manager for National Semiconductor. Karl has a B.S. degree in Occupational Safety and Health from Utah State University, and a M.S. degree in Environmental Science from National Technological University. He is a Certified Safety Professional and Certified Industrial Hygienist. His semiconductor experience also includes emergency response and emergency medical program management.
Prior to beginning work in the semiconductor industry, Karl served in various EHS roles with Bucyrus-Erie Company and Employers Insurance of Wausau.
Karl has served two terms as President of SESHA. He has served on the SESHA Board of Directors for many years as well as on various national SESHA committees. He is a SESHA Fellow. Karl has also served as President of the Utah Chapter of the American Society of Safety Engineers.
He is married and has 4 children and 3 grandchildren and likes to spend leisure time on his ranch in southern Utah or pursuing big game in as many places as possible.
