Abstract Catastrophic loss of major semiconducor operations is a major concern to our industry. An effective business recovery plan can be the salvation of any semiconductor fab. By taking a proactive role in developing a cross disipline plan that incorporates life safety, equipment salvage, alternative planning, and customer communication a semiconductor fab may limit its loss due to natural, or man-made disasters. This presentation will provide the necessary management tools and strategies to insure that all semiconductor fabs will be prepared for such contiongencies.
