Wayne, Devin M.
(University of Wisconsin-Stout)

This paper sought to identify current and potential controls that could be used by the semiconductor industry to prevent earthquake related business interruption losses. Potential controls were analyzed in regards to cost, effectiveness, and feasibility. Two potential controls were identified: a) remodeling structures to meet or exceed current building codes and b) to remodel or build structures with a base isolation system.
