Electrical Safety For The Non-Electrical Engineering Safety Professional

Evanston, Chris; Hamilton, Jeff
(Earth Tech)

This course covers that basics in electrical safety in a way that makes it accessible to the safety professional who has no electrical engineering background. It does this by clearly explaining the fundamentals of electrical energy and then relates them to basic electrical safety concepts. This foundation is then used to illuminate practical electrical safety applications. All discussion is supported by practical examples. The course is divided into four modules: 1) Basics of Electrical Energy, 2) Building Blocks of Electrical Systems, 3) Fundamentals of Electrical Safety, and 4) Code Compliance and Practical Applications.
