NFPA 318 \”The Standard for the Protection of Semiconductor Fabrication Facilities\” is now out in an extensively revised new 2002 edition. In this presentation we\’ll talk about 1. The requirements in the standard that do not appear in the \”model codes\” and why they are there, 2. The changes to the 2002 edition and why they were done, and 3. Why you should probably care more now about the requirements in 318 than you did in the past.
