For the past 25 years Texas Instruments has evaluated employee exposure to chemicals in various areas of electronics manufacturing. These exposure assessment efforts have generated over 6500 individual data points about chemical exposure. Protection of employee health and compliance with regulations have been the greatest drivers for this effort. The purpose of this session is to share TIs evaluation of this data. The presentation will discuss the assessment evolution in collecting this data and how the data has helped TI better understand the dynamics of personal exposure as the manufacturing processes have changed in the electronics industry. Examples of data analysis will be given to illustrate how employee chemical exposures are more accurately estimated.
