Blogs. Twitter. Facebook. Sustainability Reports? More and more companies are publicly reporting on their sustainability performance; a recent study by the Social Investment Forum and SIRAN found that 93 of the companies in the S&P 100 companies now include sustainability information on their websites and two-thirds produce a formal sustainability report. At the same time, social media is rapidly transforming the way that companies communicate with their customers, employees and other stakeholders. This session will explore the new risks and opportunities in the changing landscape, and look at how companies can begin to effectively integrate the use of social media tools and best practices into their overall sustainability reporting and communications strategies. Case studies and examples from leading sustainability reporters will be featured.
