Texas Instrument’s International Ergonomics Program

Abstract:
This webinar will provide an overview of Texas Instrument’s international ergonomics program, which has resulted in an 87% reduction in ergonomics-related recordable injuries and a 92% reduction in DART injuries over a 19-year period. Ergonomics program elements, program resources and specific projects will be discussed.
Presenter:
Paul Schwab is the Ergonomics Program Manager with Texas Instruments’ Worldwide Environmental Safety and Health Group. He has coordinated and supported ergonomics programs for international manufacturing and support operations for the past 19 years. Prior to his current role, he was designer and human factors specialist for commercial equipment and consumer products at TI. Paul is a co-chair and contributor to the Semiconductor Equipment and Materials International (SEMI) S8 ergonomic design guideline documents for the semiconductor industry. Paul is a Certified Professional Ergonomist and he received his undergraduate degree in Industrial Design from the Rochester Institute of Technology.
