Vincent A. DeGiorgio, CFPS
Vinnie DeGiorgio is presently the SVP and Head of the Global Loss Control Center at Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance (SFMI) in Seoul, South Korea. Prior to joining SFMI in 2014, he spent almost 30 years at FM Global in a variety of positions, lastly being AVP & Principal Engineer for Semiconductor and Telecommunications. Vinnie has 20+ years of experience associated with Asian semiconductor industry.
Vinnie involvement with SSA/SESHA started in 1982 and has attended over 30 annual conferences. He presented at many of these conferences and served on the SESHA Board of Directors. Vinnie has had the privilege of meeting and becoming friends with many outstanding EH&S professionals. This is truly the essence of SESHA.
From a technical perspective Vinnie is the past author of FM Global Data Sheet 7-7 “Semiconductor Fabrication Facilities” and served as chairman of NFPA 318 “Standard for the Protection of Semiconductor Fabrication Facilities.” He co-authored the Semiconductor Manufacturing chapter in the 19th & 20th Editions of the NFPA Fire Protection Handbook.
Vinnie was a member of task force associated with the development of FM 4910 fire safe plastics and also participated in the most recent CGA G-13 revision group. He is a former Principal Member of NFPA 75 “Standard for the Fire Protection of Information Technology Equipment” and NFPA 76 “Standard for the Fire Protection of Telecommunication Facilities.”
Vinnie has a BS in Urban & Environmental Engineering from University of North Carolina at Charlotte and his MS in Fire Protection Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
In this leisure time Vinnie enjoys golfing, going to gym and investment study.
